The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - 2 the All-merciful, the All-compassionate, 3 Owner of the Day of Recompense 4 You alone we worship, and to You alone turn for help. 5 Keep us on the right path. 6 The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
