The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 Most Gracious, Most Merciful; 3 Sovereign of the Day of Requital. 4 You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always). 5 Guide us on the Straight Path. 6 The way of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, not of those who have been condemned [by Thee,] nor of those who go astray! 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
