The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 Owner of the Day of Recompense 4 You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). 5 Show us the straight path, 6 the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not of those against whom Thou art wrathful, nor of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
