The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

All praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds, 2 the All-merciful, the All-compassionate, 3 Owner of the Day of Recompense. 4 You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always). 5 Guide us on the Straight Path. 6 the path of those to whom You have granted blessings, those who are neither subject to Your anger nor have gone astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
