The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the entire universe. 2 The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. 5 (Lord), guide us to the right path, 6 The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
