The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 the Merciful, the Most Merciful, 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 Thee alone do we worship; and unto Thee alone do we turn for aid. 5 Guide us in the straight path, 6 the path of those to whom You have granted blessings, those who are neither subject to Your anger nor have gone astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
