The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 2 The Compassionate, the Merciful. 3 Master of the Day of Judgment, 4 Thee alone do we worship and of Thee alone do we seek help, 5 Guide us to the Straight Path, 6 The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
