The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 Master of the Day of Judgment, 4 Thee alone do we worship; and unto Thee alone do we turn for aid. 5 Show us the straight path, 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
