Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord. 1 He it is Who hath created you from clay, and hath decreed a term for you. A term is fixed with Him. Yet still ye doubt! 2 And He is Allah (the God) of the heavens and in the earth; He knows all, your secrets and your disclosures, and He knows your deeds. 3 yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. 4 They have refused the Truth (Muhammad's message) that has come to them but they will soon learn the consequences of their mocking. 5 Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? We established them on the earth more firmly than you, and We sent the clouds over them, pouring down abundant rain; and made the rivers flow at their feet. Yet We destroyed them for their sins, and raised up other generations after them. 6 But even if we had sent down unto thee [O Prophet] a writing on paper, and they had touched it with their own hands - those who are bent on denying the truth would indeed have said, "This is clearly nothing but a deception!" 7 And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited. 8 And had We made him an angel, yet assuredly We would have made him a man, and confused for them the thing which they themselves are confusing. 9 And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. 10
