(Muhammad), tell them to travel in the land and see what happened to those who rejected the Truth. 11 Ask them, "Who is the owner of the heavens and the earth besides God, the All-merciful, who will gather you all together on the Day of Judgment? That day will certainly come. Those who have lost their souls will not believe. 12 ۞ To Him belongs all that rests during the night and the day. He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 13 Say: "Shall I take for my protector any other than Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? And He it is that feedeth but is not fed." Say: "Nay! but I am commanded to be the first of those who bow to Allah (in Islam), and be not thou of the company of those who join gods with Allah." 14 Say, “If I disobey my Lord, I then fear the punishment of the Great Day (of Resurrection).” 15 From whomsoever it is averted on that day, He will have mercy on him; that is the manifest triumph. 16 (Muhammad), if God afflicts you with hardship, no one besides Him will be able to relieve you. If He bestows a favor on you, know that He has power over all things. 17 He reigns Supreme over His servants; and He is the All Wise, the All Aware. 18 Say (O Muhammad): What thing is of most weight in testimony? Say: Allah is Witness between me and you. And this Qur'an hath been inspired in me, that I may warn therewith you and whomsoever it may reach. Do ye in sooth bear witness that there are gods beside Allah? Say: I bear no such witness. Say: He is only One Allah. Lo! I am innocent of that which ye associate (with Him). 19 Those to whom We have given the Book know it distinctly as they know their sons; but those who are lost of soul do not believe. 20
