In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Alif. Lam. Mim. Sad. 1 A DIVINE WRIT has been bestowed from on high upon thee - and let there be no doubt about this in thy heart - in order that thou mayest warn [the erring] thereby, and [thus] admonish the believers: 2 Follow what has been sent down to you by your Lord and do not follow any protector other than Him. How seldom you take heed. 3 And how many a [rebellious] community have We destroyed, with Our punishment coming upon it by night, or while they were resting at noontide! 4 Then naught was their cry when Our violence came upon them save that they said: verily we have been the wrong-doers. 5 We will question those to whom Our Message was sent, as We shall question the Messengers. 6 Then surely, We shall narrate unto them (their whole story) with knowledge, and indeed We were not absent. 7 The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper: 8 Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs. 9 We assuredly established you in the earth and arranged for your livelihood in it. Little do you give thanks. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
