And We sent Noah to his people; and he said, 'O my people, serve God! You have no god other' than He; truly, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 59 The chiefs of his people said: verily we see thee in error manifest. 60 He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 61 I am conveying my Lord's messages to you and giving you sincere advice. I know things from God that you do not. 62 Do you find it so strange that a message should come from your Lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you and so that you may fear God and be shown mercy?" 63 But they denied him, so We saved him and those who were with him in the ship. And We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind people. 64
