Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" 59 Said the Council of his people, 'We see thee in manifest error.' 60 He said, “O my people! There is no straying in me – I am in fact a Noble Messenger from the Lord Of The Creation.” 61 (sent) to convey to you the messages of my Lord and to advise you, for I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 "Do you wonder that there has come to you a Reminder from your Lord through a man from amongst you, that he may warn you, so that you may fear Allah and that you may receive (His) Mercy?" 63 But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people. 64
