We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day. 59 Said the Council of his people, 'We see thee in manifest error.' 60 He said: O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds. 61 "I convey unto you the Messages of my Lord and give sincere advice to you. And I know from Allah what you know not. 62 Marvel ye that an admonition from your Lord should come unto you upon a man from amongst yourselves, in order that he may warn you and that ye may fear, and that haply ye may be shewn mercy? 63 But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. 64
