We sent Noah (of old) unto his people, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an Awful Day. 59 The leading men of his people replied: 'We see that you are in palpable error.' 60 He said: O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds. 61 I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you; and I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 Marvel ye that there should come unto you a Reminder from your Lord by means of a man among you, that he may warn you, and that ye may keep from evil, and that haply ye may find mercy. 63 And yet they gave him the lie! And so We saved him and those who stood by him, in the ark, the while We caused those who had given the lie to Our messages to drown: verily, they were blind folk! 64
