Indeed We sent forth Noah to his people and he said: 'O my people! Serve Allah, you have no other god than Him Indeed I fear for you the chastisement of an awesome Day.' 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 (Noah) said, "My people, I am not in any error, rather I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 61 I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you; and I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 Does it seem strange to you that a reminder from your Lord should be sent to a man, from among you, to warn you so that you might receive mercy?" 63 But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark: but We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people! 64
