Al-A 'araaf 12 of 24

Never have We sent a Prophet to a place without trying its people with adversity and hardship that they may humble themselves. 94 Then We changed adversity into ease until they throve and said: 'Our forefathers had also seen both adversity and prosperity.' So We suddenly seized them without their even perceiving it. 95 And if the people of the townships had believed and kept from evil, surely We should have opened for them blessings from the sky and from the earth. But (unto every messenger) they gave the lie, and so We seized them on account of what they used to earn. 96 Are the people of the townships then secure from the coming of Our wrath upon them as a night-raid while they sleep? 97 What! do the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they play? 98 Did they then feel secure against the Plan of Allah. None feels secure from the Plan of Allah except the people who are the losers. 99
