Al-A 'araaf 12 of 24
There is not a region to which We sent a prophet and did not inflict upon its people adversity and hardship so that they may submit. 94 Then We exchanged in place of the bad [condition], good, until they increased [and prospered] and said, "Our fathers [also] were touched with hardship and ease." So We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive. 95 Had the people of the villages believed and been cautious, We would have opened upon them the blessings from heaven and earth. But they belied, and We seized them for what they earned. 96 Are the people of the townships then secure that Our wrath would not come upon them at night while they are slumbering? 97 or that which could seize them during their busy hours of the day? 98 What! do they then feel secure from Allah's plan? But none feels secure from Allah's plan except the people who shall perish. 99
