Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24

Is it not plain to those who inherit the earth after its inhabitants that if We willed We could smite them for their sins and set a seal upon their hearts, so that they do not hear. 100 These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers 101 and in most of them We found no [inner] bond with anything that is right - and most of them We found to be iniquitous indeed. 102 Then after them, We sent Moosa with our signs to Firaun and his court members, but they did injustice to those signs; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 103 And Moses said: 'O Pharaoh! I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 104 “It is obligatory for me not to speak concerning Allah except the truth; I have come to you all with a clear sign from your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with me.” 105 He said: "If you have brought a sign then display it, if what you say is true." 106 So he cast his staff; and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 107 Then he drew out his hand, and it appeared luminous to all beholders. 108
