Is it not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people (who thus reaped the consequence of evil-doing) that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not? 100 (Muhammad), such were the stories of the people who lived in (different) towns in the past. We had sent Our Messengers to them with (certain) miracles but the people still did not believe in what they had rejected before. Such is how God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 After those We sent forth Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his assembly, but with it they harmed. Look at the end of the corrupters. 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 And it behoves me to say nothing about Allah except what is true. I have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me.' 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 Then he flung down his staff and lo! it was a serpent manifest; 107 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. 108
