To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 (Muhammad), such were the stories of the people who lived in (different) towns in the past. We had sent Our Messengers to them with (certain) miracles but the people still did not believe in what they had rejected before. Such is how God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. 102 After those We sent forth Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his assembly, but with it they harmed. Look at the end of the corrupters. 103 Moses said: "O Pharaoh! I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds,- 104 "I am duty bound to speak nothing of God but the truth I have brought from your Lord a clear sign; so let the people of Israel depart with me." 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you have come with a sign, then bring it forth, if you should be of the truthful." 106 Therefore Moosa put down his staff – it immediately turned into a visible python. 107 Then he drew out his hand, and it appeared luminous to all beholders. 108
