Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? 100 Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee (Muhammad). Their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not). 101 We did not find the covenant upheld by the majority of them, but We found most of them evildoers. 102 Then we raised after them Musa with Our communications to Firon and his chiefs, but they disbelieved in them; consider then what was the end of the mischief makers. 103 Moses said: 'Pharaoh, I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 The Pharaoh asked Moses to show his miracles if he was telling the truth. 106 Therefore Moosa put down his staff – it immediately turned into a visible python. 107 And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom), and lo! it was white for the beholders. 108
