O you who believe! obey Allah and His Apostle and do not turn back from Him while you hear. 20 And be not like those who said, We hear, and they did not obey. 21 ۞ The worst beasts before Allah are those who are deaf, dumb, and do not understand. 22 Indeed, had Allah known any good in them, He would have let them hear. But even if He had made them hear, they would have turned away, swerving aside. 23 O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. 24 And fear an affliction which may not smite those of you in particular who are unjust; and know that Allah is severe in requiting (evil). 25 And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful. 26 O believers, betray not God and the Messenger, and betray not your trusts and that wittingly; 27 And know that your property and your children are a temptation, and that Allah is He with Whom there is a mighty reward. 28
