Believers, obey God and His Messengers and do not turn away from Him when you hear (His commands). 20 and be not like those who say: "We have heard", the while they do not hearken. 21 ۞ Surely the worst of beasts in God's sight are those that are deaf and dumb and do not understand. 22 And had Allah found any goodness in them, He would have made them hear; and had He made them hear they would, in the end, have turned away and gone back. 23 O you who believe! answer (the call of) Allah and His Apostle when he calls you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be gathered. 24 And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty. 25 And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful. 26 O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Apostle, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know. 27 Know that your children and your wealth are but a temptation, and that the reward with Allah is great. 28
