Believers, obey God and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him now that you have heard all. 20 And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not. 21 ۞ For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- those who understand not. 22 Had Allah known of any good in them He would have made them hear, but had He made them hear they would have turned away, averse. 23 O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. 24 Guard yourselves against discord among yourselves so that it will not mislead anyone of you, especially the unjust, and know that God's retribution is most severe. 25 And remember when you were only a few and meek in the land, and feared that men may snatch you away – He therefore gave you refuge and strengthened you with His help, and gave you good things as sustenance, so that you may be thankful. 26 O ye who believe! Betray not Allah and His messenger, nor knowingly betray your trusts. 27 Know well that your belongings and your children are but a trial, and that with Allah there is a mighty reward. 28
