The hypocrites, and those who had doubts in their hearts, said: "Their faith has misled them." But whoever places his trust in God will find God mighty and wise. 49 If you could only see the infidels as the angels draw away their souls and strike their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the torment of burning 50 That is for what your hands have put forth [of evil] and because Allah is not ever unjust to His servants." 51 (Their way is) as the way of Pharaoh's folk and those before them; they disbelieved the revelations of Allah, and Allah took them in their sins. Lo! Allah is Strong, severe in punishment. 52 That is because God would never change His favour that He conferred on a people until they changed what was within themselves; and that God is All-hearing, All-knowing. 53 (Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them": They treated as false the Signs of their Lord: so We destroyed them for their crimes, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh: for they were all oppressors and wrong-doers. 54 Verily, the vilest creatures in the sight of God are those who are bent on denying the truth and therefore do not believe. 55 Those with whom you make an agreement, then they break their agreement every time and they do not guard (against punishment). 56 Wherefore if thou over-takest them in war, disperse thou through them those behind them, that haply they may be admonished. 57 If you fear treachery from any of your allies, you can dissolve with them equally. Allah does not love the treacherous. 58
