▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10

And thou art not to suppose that they who disbelieve have outstripped Me; they cannot frustrate My will. 59 And keep ready for them the maximum of forces you can and the maximum number of horses you can keep tethered, in order to instil awe in the hearts of those who are the enemies of Allah and who are your enemies, and in the hearts of some others whom you do not know; Allah knows them; and whatever you spend in Allah's cause will be repaid to you in full and you will never be in a loss. 60 ۞ If they incline to peace, incline you as well to it, and trust in Allah. Surely He is All-Hearing. All-Knowing. 61 If they try to cheat you, God is surely sufficient for you. It is He who has strengthened you with His help and with believers 62 And (as for the believers) hath attuned their hearts. If thou hadst spent all that is in the earth thou couldst not have attuned their hearts, but Allah hath attuned them. Lo! He is Mighty, Wise. 63 God is sufficient for you, O Prophet, and the faithful who follow you. 64
