۞ Recount to them the story of Noah when he said to his people: "O people, if you find my staying with you and warning through God's signs, unbearable to you, know that I have reposed my trust in God. So plan your move, and call your associates, and make certain of your plan; then do whatever you intend against me, allowing me no respite. 71 Then if you turn your backs, I have not asked you for any wage; my wage falls only on God, and I have been commanded to be of those that surrender.' 72 But they rejected Noah, calling him a liar. So We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark, and made them successors (to the authority in the land), and drowned all those who had rejected Our signs as false. Consider, then, the fate of those who had been warned (and still did not believe). 73 AND THEN, after him, We sent forth [other] apostles - each one unto his own people - and they brought them all evidence of the truth; but they would not believe in anything to which they had once given the lie: thus it is that We seal the hearts of such as [are wont to] transgress the bounds of what is right. 74 Then We sent forth, after them, Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his Council with Our signs, but they waxed proud, and were a sinful people. 75 Thus, when the truth had come to them from Us, they said: "Surely this is nothing but pure magic." 76 Moses said: 'Is this what you say of the truth when it has come to you? Is this sorcery? Sorcerers do not prosper' 77 They said, “Have you two come to us to revert us from what we found our fathers upon, and that the leadership in the land may only be for you two? And we shall never believe in you both.” 78 And Pharaoh commanded: "Bring before me every sorcerer of great knowledge!" 79 And when the sorcerers came, Moses said unto them: "Throw whatever you may [wish to] throw!" 80 And when they had cast, Moses said: 'What you have brought is sorcery. Surely, Allah will render it as nothing. Allah does not put right the work of the corrupt' 81 whereas by His words God proves the truth to be true, however hateful this may be to those who are lost in sin!" 82
