We settled the children of Israel in a blessed land and provided them with pure sustenance. They did not create differences among themselves until after the knowledge had come to them. God will judge their differences on the Day of Judgment. 93 If you are in doubt of what We have sent down to you, then ask those who have been reading the Book (for a long time) before you. The truth has indeed come to you from your Lord, so do not be one of those who doubt, 94 do not be one who rejects God's signs, for then you would become one of the losers. 95 Surely those against whom the word of your Lord has proved true will not believe, 96 Though every sign should come to them, until they witness the painful chastisement. 97 Did it ever happen that the people of a town believed on seeing God's chastisement and its believing profited them? (There is no such instance) except of the people of Yunus. When they believed We granted them reprieve from humiliating chastisement in this world, and We let them enjoy themselves for a while. 98 And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers? 99 And it is not for a soul to believe except by Allah's permission; and He casts uncleanness on those who will not understand. 100 Say: 'Behold what is in the heavens and in the earth!' But neither signs nor warnings avail a people who do not believe. 101 Do they watch and wait for anything except for days similar to those who passed away before them? Say: 'Wait; I shall be with you among those who are waiting' 102 We saved Our Messengers and those who believed; We must save the believers. 103
