We sent Moses with Our signs and with clear authority 96 Towards Firaun and his court members, thereupon they followed the commands of Firaun; and the work of Firaun was not proper. 97 He shall go before his nation on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire. Evil is the watering place to be led down to! 98 seeing that they were pursued by [God's] rejection in this [world,] and [shall be finally overtaken by it] on the Day of Resurrection; [and] vile was the gift which they were given! 99 These are a few accounts of settlements that We narrate to you. Some still survive, and some have been mowed down. 100 We did not wrong them; it is rather they who wronged themselves. And when the command of your Lord came to pass, the gods besides Allah whom they had called upon, did not avail them in the least. They added nothing to them except ruin. 101 Such is the punishment of your Lord when He seizes human settlements in the acts of wickedness. Surely His hold is grievous and terrible. 102 Most surely there is a sign in this for him who fears the chastisement of the hereafter; this is a day on which the people shall be gathered together and this is a day that shall be witnessed. 103 and We shall not postpone it, save to a term reckoned; 104 And when the appointed Day comes, no one shall even dare to speak except by the leave of Allah. Then some will be declared wretched, others blessed. 105 As for those who will be wretched (on that day) they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their portion therein, 106 Abiders they shall be therein, so long as the heavens and the earth remain, save as thy Lord may will. Verily thy Lord is the Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 107 ۞ Those who are blessed shall abide in the Garden; they will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Such bounty shall be unending. 108 Have no doubt that these people worship (idols). They worship what their fathers had worshipped before them. We will give them the exact recompense that they deserve. 109
