In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) manifest. 1 Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. 2 In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware. 3 When Joseph said to his father: 'Father, I saw eleven planets, and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating themselves before me' 4 [Jacob] replied: "O my dear son! Do not relate thy dream to thy brothers lest [out of envy] they devise an evil scheme against thee; verily, Satan is man's open foe! 5 Thus, your Lord will select you, teach you the interpretation of dreams, and grant His favors to you and the family of Jacob, just as He granted His favors to your fathers, Abraham and Isaac. Your Lord is certainly All-knowing and All-wise." 6
