Joseph (Yousuf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book. 1 Lo! We have revealed it, a Lecture in Arabic, that ye may understand. 2 In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware. 3 Behold! Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!" 4 He said, "O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers or they will contrive against you a plan. Indeed Satan, to man, is a manifest enemy. 5 "Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favour to thee and to the posterity of Jacob - even as He perfected it to thy fathers Abraham and Isaac aforetime! for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom." 6
