And the king said: Surely I see seven fat kine which seven lean ones devoured; and seven green ears and (seven) others dry: O chiefs! explain to me my dream, if you can interpret the dream. 43 They said: Confused dreams, and we do not know the interpretation of dreams. 44 But the one who was freed and remembered after a time said, "I will inform you of its interpretation, so send me forth." 45 (And coming to the prison) he said: "O Joseph the truthful, tell us (the meaning of) seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean ones, and seven green ears of corn and seven seared, that I may go back to the people and tell them." 46 He said: You shall sow for seven years continuously, then what you reap leave it in its ear except a little of which you eat. 47 Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store. 48 Then there will come a year when people will be helped by plenty of rain and they will press (grapes)." 49
