The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

AlifLaamMeem. 1 This Book whereof there is no doubt, is a guidance unto the God-fearing. 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 Such people are on the right way from their Lord and such are truly successful. 5 Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and ears, and veiled their eyes. For them is great deprivation. 7
