The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 They have found the guidance of their Lord and will be successful. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
