The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This Book whereof there is no doubt, is a guidance unto the God-fearing. 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish prayer, and out of that wherewith We have provided them expend. 3 And who believe in (the Quran and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him) and in [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). 4 They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. 5 As for those whose fate is disbelief, whether you warn them or do not warn them – it is all one for them; they will not believe. (Because their hearts are sealed – see next verse). 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
