Al-Baqarah 19 of 40
O ye who believe! seek help with patient perseverance and prayer; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. 153 And say not of those who are slain in God's cause, "They are dead": nay, they are alive, but you perceive it not. 154 We shall test you through fear, hunger, loss of life, property, and crops. (Muhammad), give glad news to the people who have patience 155 and in difficulty say, "We are the servants of God and to Him we shall all return". 156 It is they upon whom their Sustainer's blessings and grace are bestowed, and it is they, they who are on the right path! 157 ۞ Safah and Marwah are the waymarks of Allah. Whoever performs the pilgrimage to the House or the visit, there shall be no guilt on him to circumambulate between both of them. And whoever volunteers good, Allah is Thankful, the Knower. 158 Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book,-on them shall be Allah's curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse,- 159 Except those who repent and amend and make manifest (the truth). These it is toward whom I relent. I am the Relenting, the Merciful. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving shall incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. 161 In this state shall they abide; [and] neither will their suffering, be lightened, nor will they be granted respite. 162 Your God is one God. There is no deity save Him. He is the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
