When the caravan left the town, their father said, "I smell Joseph's scent. I hope that you will not accuse me of senility". 94 His people said, "By God, you are still making the same old error". 95 But when the bearer of good tidings came [with Joseph's tunic,] he laid it over his face; and he regained his sight, [and] exclaimed: "Did I not tell you, 'Verily, I know, from God, something that you do not know'?" 96 They said: O our father! ask forgiveness of our faults for us, surely we were sinners. 97 He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." 98 Then when they entered unto Yusuf, he betook his parents unto himself. and said: enter Misr, if Allah will, in security. 99 He seated his parents by his side on the throne; and they fell down before him in homage. "O my father," said Joseph, "this is the meaning of my earlier dream. My Lord has made it come true. He was gracious in getting me out of the prison, and bringing you out of the desert to me after the discord created by Satan between me and my brothers, for my Lord is gracious to whomsoever He please. He is indeed all-knowing and all-wise. 100 ۞ "O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous." 101 Such is one of the stories of what happened unseen, which We reveal by inspiration unto thee; nor wast thou (present) with them then when they concerted their plans together in the process of weaving their plots. 102 Yet - however strongly thou mayest desire it - most people will not believe [in this revelation,] 103 You do not seek from them any recompense for your service. This is merely an admonition to all mankind. 104
