How many a portent is there in the heavens and the earth which they pass by with face averted! 105 And most of them believe in Allah only when they associate others with Him in His Divinity. 106 Do they feel safe from God's overwhelming torment or of the sudden approach of the Day of Judgment while they are unaware? 107 Proclaim, “This is my path – I call towards Allah; I, and whoever follows me, are upon perception; and Purity is to Allah – and I am not of the polytheists.” 108 And We sent not before thee any save men unto whom We revealed from among the people of the towns. Have then they not travelled about in the land that they might observe of what wise hath been the end of those before them? And surely the abode of the Hereafter is best for those who fear! Reflect then ye not? 109 Respited were they until when the apostles had despaired and imagined that they were deluded, there came unto them Our succour; then whomsoever We willed was delivered. And Our wrath is not warded off from a people sinful. 110 In their histories there is certainly a lesson for men of understanding. It is not a narrative which could be forged, but a verification of what is before it and a distinct explanation of all things and a guide and a mercy to a people who believe. 111
