And the Satan will say when the affair hath been decreed: verily Allah promised you a promise of truth; and I promised you, then I failed; and I had over you no authority, save that I called you and ye answered me; wherefore reproach me not but reproach yourselves. I am not going to succour you nor are ye going to succour me: verily I disbelieve in your having associated me afore. Verily the wrong-doers! for them is a torment afflictive. 22 But those who shall have attained to faith and done righteous deeds will be brought into gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide by their Sustainer's leave, and will be welcomed with the greeting, "Peace!" 23 Do you not see how Allah has given the example of a good word? It is like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and whose branches reach the sky, 24 Giving its fruit at every season, by the command of the Lord. And Allah propoundeth similitudes for mankind that haply they may be admonished. 25 And the similitude of a bad saying is as a bad tree, uprooted from upon the earth, possessing no stability. 26 God will strengthen the believers with His steadfast word, both in the present life and in the Hereafter. God lets the wrongdoers go astray. He does what He wills. 27
