[Remember] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a city of peace and help me and my children to keep away from worshipping idols. 35 “O my Lord! The idols have led many people astray; so whoever followed me, is indeed mine; and whoever disobeyed me – then indeed You are Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 36 Our Lord! Verily I have caused some of my progeny to dwell in a valley uncultivable near Thy Sacred House, Our Lord! in order that they may establish prayer; make Thou therefore the hearts of some of mankind to yearn toward them, and provide them Thou with fruits, haply they may give thanks. 37 Our Lord, Thou knowest what we keep secret and what we publish; from God nothing whatever is hidden in earth and heaven. 38 All praise be to God who bestowed on me Ishmael and Isaac in old age. Verily my Lord listens to prayer. 39 "O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation. 40 "Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established." 41
