Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror. 42 (And) they would hasten forward, heads lifted upwards, gazes fixed, and emptied out their hearts. 43 Warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will overtake them, when the evildoers will say: 'Our Lord, grant us respite for awhile, we will answer Your call, and follow the Messengers' Did you not once swear that you would never cease? 44 Yet you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had exceeded themselves, and it was evident to you how We had dealt with them; and We held out examples before you." 45 They plotted their plots, but their plots are (known) to Allah, even though their plots were such as to move mountains. 46 So do not ever assume that Allah will not fulfil His promise to His Noble Messengers; indeed Allah is the Dominant, the Avenger. 47 Upon the day the earth shall be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens and they sally forth unto God, the One, the Omnipotent. 48 And you will see the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism, polytheists, disobedient to Allah, etc.) that Day bound together in fetters; [Muqarranun in fetters; mean:- with their hands and feet tied to their necks with chains.] 49 Their trousers shall be of pitch, and the Fire shall cover their faces. 50 In order that Allah may repay each soul what it had earned; indeed Allah spends no time in judging the account. 51 This is a message for mankind that they may take a warning from it, and may know that He is the one and only God, and that men of wisdom may reflect. 52
