99 verses, revealed in Mecca after Joseph (Yousuf) before Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Alif-Lam-Ra; these are verses of the Book and the bright Qur’an. 1 Perchance the unbelievers will wish that they had surrendered: 2 Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know. 3 Whenever We destroyed a town, a definite term had previously been decreed for it. 4 Neither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it. 5 They say: 'You to whom the Remembrance is sent down, you are indeed mad. 6 Why do you not bring us the angels, if you should be among the truthful?" 7 But We send down the angels only to bring justice and then they will not be reprieved. 8 Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian. 9 And indeed We sent Noble Messengers before you, to the former nations. 10 And whenever a Messenger came to them, they never failed to mock him. 11 This is how We make the mocking* enter the hearts of the guilty. (* The acts of disbelief.) 12 They would not believe in it (the Quran), and already the example of (Allah's punishment of) the ancients (who disbelieved) has gone forth. 13 And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto, 14 they would have said, "Our eyes are bewildered and we have been affected by magic." 15

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
