And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders. 16 and guarded them from every stoned satan. 17 Except him (devil) that gains hearing by stealing, he is pursued by a clear flaming fire. 18 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every thing justly weighed, 19 We have provided therein a means of livelihood for you and for all those creatures for whom you do not provide. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store. 22 for, behold, it is We - We alone - who grant life and deal death, and it is We alone who shall remain after all else will have passed away! 23 And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards. 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
