Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders; 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and them doth a clear flame pursue. 18 And the earth - We have spread it out wide, and placed on it mountains firm, and caused [life] of every kind to grow on it in a balanced manner, 19 And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 We send impregnating winds and send down water from the sky for you to drink and you have no (control over its) storage. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. 25
