Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see; 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 Except one who comes to eavesdrop – therefore a bright flame goes after him. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 We have provided therein a means of livelihood for you and for all those creatures for whom you do not provide. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 And We loose the winds fertilising, and We send down out of heaven water, then We give it to you to drink, and you are not its treasurers. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25
