We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 30 except Iblis; he refused to join those who prostrated. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 Said he, 'I would never bow myself before a mortal whom Thou hast created of a clay of mud moulded.' 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 And surely on you is curse until the day of judgment. 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all. 39 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
