Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard, 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 And when thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay of mud moulded. 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 Satan said, "O my Lord! Grant me respite till the Day of Resurrection." 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
