Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What happened to you that you stayed apart from those who prostrated?” 32 Said he, 'I would never bow myself before a mortal whom Thou hast created of a clay of mud moulded.' 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 And lo! the curse shall be upon thee till the Day of Judgment. 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 Allah said: verily then thou art of the respited: 37 till the appointed time. 38 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all. 39 except for Your chosen servants." 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 Seven gates it has, and unto each gate a set portion of them belongs.' 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
