Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 and the jinn We had created before from flaming fire. 27 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 "O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray, 39 except the devoted amongst Your worshippers. 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 And indeed hell is the promise for all of them. 43 with seven gates leading into it, each gate receiving its allotted share of sinners. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
